Smart phone agents: They still need a "trust but verify" mode...

For example, I work from home and windsurf at Coyote Pt Recreation Area about 4x a week in the afternoons.

So... I set the Coyote Pt Recreation Area address for the "Work" option in Google maps.

I check the overview route and often take the 1 or 2 minute longer route since that freeway is less prone to accidents and delays during commute times.

I also check with Waze as the two apps don't always agree.

That worked great for over a year... then recently Google maps started routing me to some company called "work" in a different direction!

Checking now, it seems to be working again after I put "Coyote Pt Recreation Area" in my favorites and made a direct link to it in my maps folder.

It just occurred to me that "work" was located in Cupertino and doesn't show up any more as the default! Maybe Apple figured a way to "hack" the algo and Google fixed it.

Anyway, sometimes AI makes some serious errors... sort of like when the GPS told my brother to drive the rental car across a lake in Italy...
