What a funny op-ed by the Washington Poop.
The explanation they are offering — that such an interview would be a “perjury trap” — is simultaneously ridiculous and all but an admission that the president of the United States is guilty of something.
Does this op-ed writer know how many times the 5th was invoked in the history of the United States?

Does this op-ed writer remember how often Hillary Clinton and others had "short-term memory loss" about key events?

Does this op-ed writer know why the 5th amendment is important?

The press has the luxury of assuming guilt based on innuendo, but the government does not.
