Chris Cuomo Stuns Audience, Says Trump ‘Transitioned into Mob Boss’
CNN host declares that president is out to 'puncture, pummel, and desecrate the Constitution'

In dramatic remarks on Friday at the close of his CNN show, host Chris Cuomo said President Donald Trump went into “mob boss” mode this past week — using Trump’s own words as “proof” of the president’s gangster mentality.
“There’s a lot of speculation about how bad this week was for the president,” Cuomo said, as Mediaite reported. “And I get that that is an enticing question.”
He added, “But there’s something that concerns me more — much more, in fact. And that is how the president handled things this week.”
The host of “Chris Cuomo Prime Time” then said, “He fully transitioned into mob boss mode. You could literally find his echo in a Gotti or his gangster of choice — Capone, or even a Corleone.”
Cuomo cited what he called the president’s “bashing of the Justice Department as run by crooks” and his “perverse notion that getting a mobster for tax evasion is a cop-out.”
“Think about it. Our president pooh-poohs Capone’s convictions, because they never got him for murder,” he asserted.
Cuomo then pointed to what he said was Trump’s “real WTF moment,” before playing a clip of Trump in a Fox News interview this week.
“I know all about flipping. For 30, 40 years, I’ve been watching flippers. Everything’s wonderful and then they get 10 years in jail and flip on whoever the next high test one is, or as high as you can go … It almost ought to be outlawed,” Trump told Ainsley Earhardt of “Fox & Friends.”
“Did he really just say that?” an incredulous Cuomo asked.
“Yes. And it wasn’t the first time. He didn’t misspeak. It wasn’t just a hot moment. He has referred to cooperators as rats, just like gangsters do.”
He said, “I have literally only heard the notion he just introduced, that flipping shouldn’t be allowed, from people complaining to me over the years about why they shouldn’t be in jail as gangsters.”
Cuomo then showed a clip of Trump speaking during his presidential campaign, vowing he would be the “law-and-order president.”
“Now remember who this man was before he was president, what he promised you when he wanted the nomination,” said Cuomo.
“He won, and took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution — not to puncture, pummel, and desecrate the Constitution.”
