I currently do not hold any shares of NVAX, first read about the company today in the posting right before this. That article showed looking up one of the stocks I do hold, Inovio (INO), which is mentioned in the article. The reason I am replying to your posting from 2016, more100, is because it reminds me of a few postings a number of years ago on the ABMD thread when it really looked like ABMD was doomed. People were bailing or had bailed, taking huge losses. I decided I was so in the hole [it was trading around 4/share] I might was well just cross my fingers that something positive would happen or wait until if filed for Chapter 11 and take my entire "investment" was a loss.
ABMD closed Friday at 381.03 and has had a high the past 52 weeks of 450.93--and that on a stock shareholders decided was a lost cause, but did recover and had a 2:1 split. I think it is going to have another because shareholders voted to increase the number of outstanding shares making it possible to do another 2:1. Also, our lost-cause ABMD got added to the S&P 500 recently and is considered a buy or strong buy by a number of the big-boy brokerage houses.
My point in talking about ABMD is because with these pharmaceutical companies, especially the small ones, one never knows when anticipated doom and gloom takes a fast turn and makes it long hold, suffering shareholders not just smile, but get Cheshire cat grins, while jumping for joy.
Now that I know about NVAX's existence, I am going to keep an eye on it.
Hummm... it does concern my that their web site can not be accessed. I just sent my first tweet to Novavax? @NovavaxInc, which made it's last tweet on the 17th. This result clicking to access the web site is not good:
