The best way to determine RBOC spending plans is to review annual reports/10-K's. Capital spending plans have been discussed in detail in those reports. Did the Soundview analyst review spending plans with each of the phone companies, or did the analyst merely speculate that spending is being reduced? Does anyone have access to the Soundview report?

DSC by itself has been frustrating since at least October 1995. In early October 1995, DSC's stock price was in the low 60's. In a couple of weeks, DSC's chairman will tell us how good the future looks, and that DSC is in the right markets with the right products. So why is the stock in the low 20's?
