OCG Technology Inc. Names Healthcare Information Technology Expert, Michael G. Eckstein, Executive Vice President for Operations and Business Development
NEW YORK, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- OCG Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: _OCGT_ - _news_) announced today Michael G. Eckstein, an internationally recognized expert and senior executive in the computer software/applications/Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)/networking field, has joined the company as Executive Vice President, overseeing Operations and Business Development.
Mr. Eckstein brings to OCG more than 20 years of experience in designing and implementing information management solutions for healthcare providers and payers. His clients have ranged from Fortune 50 to emerging growth companies, including integrated health delivery systems, managed care organizations, hospitals and Community Healthcare Information Network Systems (CHINS). Since 1983, Mr. Eckstein has served as Chief Executive Officer of several successful software -- EDI networking companies, including the technology subsidiary of Pennsylvania Blue Shield ($10.6 billion in medical claims volume). Through his leadership, these companies have automated thousands of physicians, hospitals and laboratories across the United States. Mr. Eckstein is a member of the ANSI Insurance Committee for EDI Insurance Applications, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and serves on the National Information Infrastructure Task Force for the ''information superhighway.'' He is also a member of the Healthcare Informatics Telecom Network Board of Directors and the Microsoft Healthcare Users Group.
