Yes, ThinkPads are usually good, especially the workstation class! I have owned a few good laptops but after my first Thinkpad, I've been biased ever since toward its highest lines. Dell and HP have a class of workstation laptops that compare well. There are also lesser known laptop makers without the engineering and finesse of those three mentioned but can deliver workstation performance in a laptop brick. I hope the Thinkpads sell well early ergo a bigger factory refurbished sale next spring and summer! ;-)
