Scott,

I would imagine that Lucent, Nortel, Qualcomm and Tellabs would all be active in this area. I tend to like the larger companies for their staying power. Metricom is the only pure play wireless-connection-to-the-net company that I am aware of, although I believe they are a service provider (they build out the Richochet wireless networks) rather than an equipment company. Metricom has had some problems. FWIW, I continue to favor LU and NT
