My family has been using them exclusively forever. I got used to them when they first came out while working at IBM, and I just can't buy a laptop without the trackpoint. For me it's so much easier using it to navigate around the web, you don't have to take your hands off the keyboard. Works great. I know Dell's business laptops had the trackpoint for awhile, but I think they dropped it some time ago. Another nice thing I was discussing with Don Green on another thread is that if you need multiple monitor support for trading at a remote location you can run up to three additional screens using a Thinkpad with discrete graphics and a docking station. Worked great for me when I had to spend time away from home at my mom's house, I picked up three LCDs, left them at her home, and when I arrived all I had to bring was the laptop and I was in business. (With a decent FIOS connection of course <ggg>).

Regards,
John

PS - I STILL use a 12" Thinkpad running XP, it was the last machine IBM made before Lenovo took over. It's gotta be at least 14 years old at this point.
