It's that postmodernism thingy again. Truth was never relevant to the liberal media as long as they could control the narrative.

Remember Memogate? "Fake but accurate" was the phrase they used as soon as they discovered the memos regarding Bush's service in the National Guard were forged.

"Whether or not it's true is irrelevant" is a phrase that perfectly sums up why the mainstream media is no longer trusted these days. It's why Trump's attacks on the media still work.
