Henry, I am interested in the discussion you were having with Andrew and V1 about whether or not retinoids can be effective treatments for solid tumors. Given that one of the main advantages of the retinoids is their low toxicity, would it not make sense to pair them with a cancer vaccine? Biomira has reported very encouraging phase 11 results against breast cancer with a carbohydrate cancer vaccine that also has low toxicity. Even if the pair only matched the effectiveness of chemotherapy, the quality of life benefits would be huge. I am sure other companies are working in the same area. Any thoughts?
