There are some that are even FREE... my sons use them (forget the name). I advise them to go with Fidelity because I have found them to be the most reliable over the years but they do have their restrictions. I also use Etrade at times. For trades that I think I may hold for a long time -- say 3 - 10 years, I may call my full service broker and just make the trade over the phone the old fashioned way (I think they charge $15 or $20 bucks)..

True story: I was using Fidelity back in 1994 - 1999 ish when they charges something like $19.95 per trade but they had a premium they placed on the penny stocks (that was calculated per share) so sometimes I would end up paying commissions over $200 per trade on penny stocks going in and out. During that time of super high commissions (and no level 2) I still managed to make very good money.
