As mentioned in my introduction here I am interested in value investing. So, I thought to myself, why not starting a series of threads about the book Security Analysis by Benjamin Graham? After all, I am currently working through it for the first time. If now, we imagine every one thread serving as a place to discuss a certain part of the book (Part I to Part VII), this system of threads will allow specific discussion on the different subjects covered by the book.

Hopefully these Security Analysis (SecAn) threads will not only benefit me but also other newcomers and perhaps some SI veterans interested in this investment literature. Unfortunately I am currently not of a high enough rank (level 1!) in order to create new subjects. So this venture has to wait for now, I am afraid.

Speaking about the longer term... After having finished Security Analysis for the second time, I think I will be able to start applying the value investing principles to businesses with a simple structure and work my way up from there. Who knows what I, or perhaps WE, will be able to do after accomplishing the above. However, I know for sure that the journey will be intellectually challenging, while the destination will be financially fruitful.
