IMO, if Megyn really regarded her dad highly, she would have remembered that he had a very long time to say whatever he wanted in rebuttal to Donald Trump's "insults" about his service.

If she didn't think he was capable of speaking for himself and she had to attack Trump for him, that shows me what she really thought of McCain.

(UNLESS, he instructed her to say what she said, which I suppose was possible.)
