It's impossible to balance the budget when one party never raises taxes and always cuts them. The fact that we don't have enough revenue to pay for what is spent is caused by conservatives.

While it's true we've almost always had deficits, it wasn't until Reagan that one party disregarded all fiscal sanity and nearly tripled the national debt during peacetime. They got away with it and haven't looked back.

What we know with absolute certainty is that there isn't one conservative in the republican party. They all vote for tax cuts but not balanced budgets.
