Vet - Not to sound harsh, but you seem to have me confused as someone who considers US export credits to be admirable or philanthropic. I also do not feel inclined to analyze or defend the mainstream US press as I do not own a television or subscribe to The Washington Post. Not sure what you are are trying to get at, here. If you disrespect US politics, press, institutions, govt, people, or whatever, you are entitled to your viewpoint. I've read dozens of posts at SI from Canadians who wish to express their dislike for one thing or another about the US. I've come to accept it and expect it. Tom
