OK folks - I'm going to do a little project to try to track NAND pricing.

I've chosen 4 SSD models. And I've bookmarked the product's sales page on NewEgg.com. Here they are:

Plextor M9Pe AIC 256GB NVMe PCI-Express 3.0 x4 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

newegg.com

WD Blue 3D NAND 250GB PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s 2.5"/7mm Solid State Drive

newegg.com

Crucial MX500 M.2 2280 1TB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

newegg.com

SAMSUNG 860 EVO Series 2.5" 250GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

newegg.com

---------------------------------

I've grabbed their current price off of NewEgg and stored it in a spreadsheet. As follows:

Plextor WD Crucial Samsung
Sep 6th $110 $68 $110 $76

Hmmm, that part doesn't copy and paste very well.

But anyways, two or three times per month I'll update the unit prices, and we can see whether the price is remaining stable, or declining.

Seems like it may be useful.

Before getting this started, does anyone have any comments on the four SSD units I've selected. I sort of just chose them at random. If anyone has a suggestion for an SSD model that may be more indicative of NAND price declines, send me the model information (or preferable NewEgg link) and I'll perhaps put it into the comparison chart.
