Also stock spin off's. Had PFE spin out some shares of ZTS when they created new company. Many of the dynamic 'value' growers have had these shareholder stock spin off. Even PG&E in late 80's gave me SRE stock, It's my 4th largest position in the taxable portfolio.

I think I have obtained much more value from these stock spin offs than from the accumulated dividends. They are tax free until you sell too.
