sg - I welcome having one of Ray Smiths(CEO BELL Atlanic) guys on WSTL's board.

steve,

You know from the AMTX thread, I have an optimistic point of view, at least where ADSL is concerned.

I've noticed lots of ADSL articles appearing in the Industry Magazines
this month, and have to wonder if it is a buildup to MSFT and INTC ADSL's coming out party planned for next month.

I think the hype will only get bigger as Feb draws closer, and I hope (not expect) that we see a run-up in DSL stocks like the 2nd Q 96.

Westell's Supervision (DSLAM) is suppose to roll out this quarter, and under the joint marking agreement with Lucent, Lucent will market SuperVision.

I've seen Supervision at a couple of trade shows, and wonder why it has taken so long to produce it in commercial quantities? Perhaps they were awaiting the C6x...

In truth Amati's DSLAM looked like a highly polished product, while Supervison looked like a typical industry rack mounted chassis. But if it's works just as well, who cares.

Let's hope the market is on a strong upward roll when MSFT & Intel begin their ADSL campaign..

Some people here can dog WSTL all they want about earnings & fundamentals, etc. but I ask where was the above in the 1Q - 2Q 96 when WSTL went from $20 to $85 and split, Pair $40 - $120 and split?

Whatever takes WSTL stock up, I care not, as I'm here for the short term gain this time around. Will reconsider a long term stance at a later date. Things look fairly good, and I'm awaiting Seamens return.
It would appear Gary left taking the keys to the ignition with him, hope he returns soon and fires up the engine!

Good to here from you,
Regards
