This works as a traditional stove. I pulls oven air from the bottom and vents via the back shelf. I have a window right next to the stove and seldom have more than 2 burners active at any time.

That said, I keep a CO detector in the room and it has never alarmed.

I think if a person fired the whole stove and kept it active for a longer time than just heating.....you would want a traditional exhaust system.

There is nothing fancy about them...but they cook!
