Jerard,
A while ago when this thing about screen sizes came up I prepared and wrote all about screen sizes. The post was placed under A New Age in Gold Processing (SI also). Fpr the screen sizes from, lets say 200 Mesh Standard and 200 Mesh Tyler through 400 mesh, the particles that would pass the screen appeared to be identicle. My engineering books didn' go anywhere 1000 Mesh for either standard. In screen sizes the gap and the wire size for the screen vary from one mesh size to another.
As for the Johnson& Lett process, as with all extractive processes, the applications or need will vary from deposit to deposit. If the process is developed to a commercial useage, there will be a number of applications where it can be be used. At least that is my opinion.
We will all be waiting to see what happens next with that process.. mike
