Gartner highlights key 2018 technology trends If you haven’t heard, 2018 is all about intelligent systems. Intelligence will be infused in virtually every imaginable aspect of enterprise business, predicts Gartner Inc. The IT research firm has identified this shift as the chief technology trend for next year, framing it as “The Intelligent Digital Mesh.” Gartner expects the intertwining of people, devices and services to support more fluid, secure and digital business operations. Gartner believes these developments will disrupt existing operations and pave the way for new business models. “There are key trends the enterprise cannot afford to ignore,” said David W.
