I would guess that the first happy part of the dream represents the obscene profits you and your wife made investing in emerging markets. The rich furnishings, the jewels, symbolize the quondam wealth of Southeast Asia.

And then the scene turns dark: the woman who flees and hides is Indonesia. The woman who stays, already beaten to a pulp, is South Korea. The Sikh is the IMF.

The Sikh attacks YOU because sooner or later we will ALL pay for this mess, one way or another.
