Does anyone have an online brokerage account with C? I used to have a full service account there, but all clients/financial advisers got booted over to Morgan Stanley (JPM). What I really, REALLY miss is C's research. It was there I started to follow Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Indian shipbuilding. The jostling between these countries for dominance read like an adventure novel! Some people enjoy reading fiction for entertainment, but I got great pleasure reading about obscure companies in other, especially developing, countries covered by C analysts, even if I could not and/or was not interested in buying shares.
It looks like online, self directed accounts might be available at C. I shall call them next week to get information, but am hoping someone here has an account now or had one in the past (post dumping accounts on JPM) and can share what they think with me--including if their online research is as good today as it was in the past.
If they do offer online accounts that give people full access to their research, I would only want to transfer piddly-dit shares of something there. Seriously, all I want is online access to their research (sniff, sniff).
Given how infrequently this thread is read and how few people have it subject marked, if there's a better thread for me to post my question, please point me to it, either as a reply here or a PM. I tried looking for a thread where different brokerage firms were discussed and could not find one. Maybe I just botched the search (??). |
