yeah, that pretty much sums up everything I've ever heard about unions. They make a big deal of standing up for workers, but what they do is stand between you and progress and end in massive corruption. Think about the taxi cab unions and cartels that stand in the way of progress like Lyft and Uber. Or the car dealership cartels that don't allow new car companies to sell direct to the consumer or set up competing retail shops. These kinds of laws and unions are anti-competitive and slow down progress.
