No not grinning today. Not about NPTH for sure nor about much else. Market very weak and I am concerned about tomorrow and Monday.

If I had to bet on anything I am sure that NPTH not acquiring CYTEC would be right up there at the top of my list. I wouldn't bet my life on it but I think that it doesn't make much sense and is not particularly practical to pull off. CYTEC buying NeoPath makes a bit more sense but not much more. There has often been a rumor about SKB buying NeoPath after they get approval and that makes more sense to me as would something to do with GE. But none of this can happen until NeoPath gets approval. If they do then perhaps something will happen. Anything that would bring in new management particularly at the CEO level would be much appreciated as NeoPath is not IMO at all well run. Their corporate IQ is very low starting at the top so they really need a change in management to take advantage of their technology. Hopefully the severe limitations of their management won't cause them to blow their chance to get approval. If you look at my posts on the NeoPath board you will see what I think of their management.

I think they will get approval but they will not be able to make any money on their techology as long as they keep their current CEO. A company starts from the top and if the top is not competent nothing else much good can happen.

I am not sure that I like the ACMI deal but at least this management is able to identify problems and come up with actions to address the problems.
