Not sure how it reacts with roaches but it disrupts gastric structure in ants.....I think they basically burp themselves to death. Diatomaceous earth works differently....it attacks the exoskeleton of insects by simple friction. I hole is created in the skeleton and the insect dehydrates. Shootie
