cannabis stocks.... the view from CA..... dispensaries not allowed in many communities, deliveries not welcome in a large percentage of those. Long drive, to get the official stuff.... and then you pay for testing, packaging, taxes.
So....... delivery services are popping up, distributing excess weed that is non-compliant. $90/ounce, premium grows..... compares to $400-500 out the door at a legal distribution point.
One distributor told me that his boss had gotten a loan to establish a "weedmaps-like" business, had blown though all the money, and was leaving the U.S. The boss had dispersed -- freebies -- his entire weed stash to his delivery drivers. They are listing with "find your weed" websites, but frequently changing the phone numbers and names ass'd with their businesses???
We are talking an 80% discount to circumvent the startups that are currently going nuts in market, no near-term solution. |
