The "Hatch Rule": Order FBI Investigations, It's the "Very Right Thing to do"..

The Senate Democrats just released a video from 1991 that they better drill into the American psyche ad nauseum.

The key part, from Senator Orrin Hatch: “When they heard about this the first time, they immediately ordered this FBI investigation, which was the very right thing to do, the appropriate thing to do. They did what every other Chairman and Ranking Member have done in the past.”

The Republicans came up with the idea of a “Biden Rule” — that a Supreme Court nominee shouldn’t be voted on in an election year. They used that successfully to stop Merrick Garland and steal a Supreme Court seat.

The Republicans coined the “Ginsburg Rule” — the idea that a Supreme Court nominee can’t say anything about their views on legal issues at confirmation hearings. This one was made up but both Justice Gorsuch and Judge Kavanaugh recited it over and over

Now we have the “Hatch Rule” — the FBI should investigate all claims about nominees because it’s “the very right” and “appropriate” thing to do. Can we drill this one into everyone’s conscience please?
