I'll third that. By the way, while Larry may be the visionary, Ray Lane, and Jeff Henley are very involved from the business standpoint. As previously mentioned, many application customers elect to use an Oracle DB in conjunction with SAP, Peoplesoft applications. Also keep in mind that Oracle charges significant annual maintenance fees on its DB / application products -- I believe about 25 - 30%. This entitles the customer to maintenance and upgrades, and provides a hell of an annuity on the installed base. In summary, Oracle ain't going away.
