I just finished listening to the conference calls:
1. first 2 quarters will not be that strong, but expecting strong growth in the 2nd half. 2. annual year to year revenue growth 7 - 10% 3. asian will not directly or significantly impact VLSI, only 10% exposure, 5% to Japan, 5% rest. 4. strong growth in wireless communications, modest growth in networking, no growth in computing, but the situation is stablizing 5. will be able to keep or improve margine, current margine is around 45%, which is NOT bad at all. 6. share buy back 1.5 million in 4th quarter, might buy back more
these are the main points, I'm too lazy to type out the rest ;) 1 analyst (first albany) congratulated the management on a great quarter, but there are about 10 analysts there. Kurlak (yeah, him) asked about this year's growth, managment said 7 - 10%, so dont expect him to upgrade VLSI anytime soon :)
I think it is an upbeat conference, but I dont think we will see much price improvement maybe 1 or 2 bucks :) Look for first albany to upgrade VLSI tomorrow if their current rating is a hold.
