Gotcha. Well, truth is that most people are more complicated than portrayed. The fact is that most people don't 100% align to either party and will have positions that cross party lines. They may never admit it, because they want to be seen as fully aligned with one party or the other, but I bet most people have at least one position that agrees with the other party from which they typically vote.
