The main thing needed inside the borders is philosophical foundation as shown by Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Iceland, and other little to small countries who are doing really well. Japan is low on resources but does very well despite a great lack of the wondrous diversity.

Having lots of Ashkenazis and high end north east Indians helps too. USA got the jackpot there.

Hunter gatherer resources are not important as they can be bought from barbarians. Israel is doing well too.

USA also has lots of socialism inside the borders and it continues to increase.

There's also a swarming horde of people from south of the border taking over and Africans and jihadists. To see how that will go look at the countries from whence they came. When people go somewhere they keep their culture. Sometimes they are fleeing it to adopt the better norms that suit them individually, but that's not the case with the jihadist conquest of the Euroserfs. Neither does it seem to be the case in USA.
