Seems to me "Adam Harkness" is trying to drive the price down so that it can buy for its insitutional clients, (that is , if it has any). A couple of days ago it predicted that more bad news with repsect to channel inventories would come out of the Wed CC. That did not happen. Now it says lower channel inventories (which 3Com has been trying to reduce for the last couple of months) would severely constrain revenue growth. They would be happier if 3Com continued to stuff the chanels and recognized revenues like USRX.

When the management has clearly stated that reducing channel invenotry is their main priority (so that they can forecast demand better) - and most brokers agree on this - how can reduced inventory be a negative.

I have some 3COM and agree it will be a dog for a while (the recent run up not withstanding) due to Asia and inventory problems. But Adam Harkness' post CC comments sounds like sour grapes (since their forecast from two days back did not materialize)

Regards

Alok
