Canada and Portugal, I think. I think we want more than one home. We are considering keeping a "home" in the US in a cheap tax state- because it's such a pain to get citizenship and we can pay very little taxes here if we choose the right state- even with the golden tickets in some countries it's a lot of paperwork and expense to change citizenship. But to keep a condo in a cheap state with no income tax, and to hide our income- legally (which is even easier now)- we could "live" in the US but spend quite a big of time out of it. We are working slowly with the advice of a tax planner and a financial planner. It's the only way to do it so we don't get financially screwed. Softly softly catchee monkey. I want to give as little to the US as possible, and spend the most possible time outside of the US. Unlike morons who voted for Trump and now regret it, we do nothing in haste.
