If DCTC were planning to buyback shares, why would Mr. Murphy call the "big seller" directly and try to pursuade the selling to stop? If the price were to keep falling, DCTC buys them back at cheaper prices and also gives the loyal holders more buying opportunities. If the buyback did start, the price would head back up anyway so I don't think Joe has that in the immediate plans. Also, with what $ would we be buying back shares? We have tons of SMTK stock that we can't sell. Should we leverage those SMTK shares in some manner to to raise cash to buyback shares. I would not be in favor of buying back shares based on cash from a loan, why create the debt? I am hedging that the big announcements are going to center around another aquisition(no buyback, no sale of another one of our assets). Just some thoughts. Anyone, anyone? Also, now that we know Muller deal is closed(that was news to me I don't know about anyone else), how does it fit with the rest of our assets?
