<Fidelity Web Express>
Dan, I think the system logs off every 5 minutes if your keyboard is inactive. I actually liked this security feature a while back last year where I had to share office space with some co-workers. Since I started doing full-time trading last May out of my home bedroom, this has been a bit annoying. This problem can be bypassed by programming a macro to the keyboard so that the re-login procedure can be done with a mouse click and only one keystroke. My Gateway 2000 allows me to do that. I am sure you can also use some software package such as SideKick to do the same. Another annoying thing about Fidelity is difficulties logging on during heavy market trading hours or after midnight and the account does not have your correct balance and position until 24 hours later. I use Fidelity for backup in case I cannot get in Datek or Dreyfuss. I use Datek for stock trading since you can short stocks on-line without calling the broker and commissions are dirt cheap (10$ per trade). Datek charges commissions for short sales while Fidelity does not. Fidelity phone support is excellent, however. Good luck.
