Yes, Lurker, I thought of that. My point is that one (the permanent placement) cannot happen without the other (temporary placement). So each permanent placement comes with a drag on earnings, i.e., an income/revenue margin that is much lower than 100 percent.

Also, in my calculations, I took great pains to assume that the idea of permanent placement being "pure profit" was actually true.

P.S. If a nurse earns three or four times what they pay her, why don't employment services show better margins? And why doesn't the hospital offer $50/hour and sign them to temporary contracts? And I know Nebraska is rock-bottom on the unemployment chart. I don't see any FAMH offices there, unfortunately.
