Here's the press release I was talking 'bout: * NEWS RELEASE * _______________________________________________________________________ ATAP - CDN ATAPA MINERALS LIMITED Suite 108 - 5405 Eglinton Avenue West Etobicoke, Ontario M9C 5K6 Telephone: (416) 620-4365 Toll Free: 1-800-392-8430 Fax: (416) 620-5209 Etobicoke, Ontario October 1, 1996 Further Encouraging Drill Results from Atapa's Cikotok/Cikidang Project, West Java, Indonesia Preliminary shallow core drilling at the Pasir Ela prospect in the Atapa Minerals Limited ("Atapa") 101,400 hectare Cikotok/Cikidang property located in SouthWest Java, Indonesia has intersected widespread and pervasive precious metal mineralization. Assays from 448 metres of core representing the complete section of the first seven boreholes averages 0.31 g/t gold, and 15.51 g/t silver, giving a combined 0.46 g/t gold equivalent. Mineralization was pervasive throughout the intensely altered, quartz veined volcaniclastic sequence with best values being 7 metres of 2.04 g/t gold and 23 g/t silver. The results are from an area of 500 metre x 700 metre within a 3 square kilometre (1 kilometre x 3 kilometre corridor) geochemical anomalous zone for gold and arsenic which has recently been demonstrated to extend and strengthen to the southeast. The style of mineralization and rock alteration is considered to be consistent with that from the upper part of a broad stockwork zone which could change at depth to a more concentrated and higher grade vein system. Atapa has moved a second, larger Long Year 44 drill rig to the prospect to extend and deepen the drill testing to the southeast.
