OK folks, a relatively big change in the SOXM this week. As of this week the merger of XCRA into COHU was completed and therefore is no more. This dropped the 28 SOXM index to 27 stocks making room for an addition.

After some thought, I decided to add WDC to the index to be a "companion" stock to MU. The 2 stocks have differences in the market, but for many months looking at the Fwd PE of both stocks their PEs are very low and essentially at the top of the S&P-500 sort in this regard. Also another reason, MU is the only "pure memory" stock listed in the S&P-500. WDC is listed as a "Computer - Memory Storage" stock with about 7 or 8 other stocks in this category in the S&P-500. With the addition of WDC in the SOXM index, MU will have a "companion" stock to commiserate with in this market. At the end of this week's sort for Fwd PE, MU's PE is 4.34(#5), and WDC's PE is 5.45(#6). Companion stocks so to speak in the "doghouse".
