NEC ADSL chip? nikkeibp.com NEC will ship the P40, a 4-port 155Mbps physical layer chip at the beginning of 1998, and also 622Mbps segmentation and reassembly (SAR) and physical layer chips. The firm also expects an asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) market in 1998, to activate ATM data on the ADSL line.
