Microsoft has over a million free testers on their Windows Insider program. They pushed out an update about two weeks ago on the "slow" track that totally screwed one my laptops. It didn't destroy data, but my display settings were screwed, and I ended up resetting, which is kind of like destroying your data if you didn't want to spend the time saving it. I could have reverted to the previous build, but was too frustrated. It is kind of traumatic to lose how you have everything set, but also shows you how much crap you have installed and saved that you never use.
