No one really understands abnormal criminal behavior.

You can ascribe that to the leadershop but I would say that the vast majority of dem voters have a different issue:

They view life as something that happens to them, they are victims, unaccountable and unempowered. The dems will protect them from the bad big guys but they don't see far enough to ask "who will protect us from the dems?"

Then there are the "bleeding-heart, do-gooders who generally were brought up as dems. Politics is almost religious to them.

One issue voters are conditioned to believe that one issue to "trumps" everything else. I don'r care if the streets are unsafe and the economy sucks, but I want free birth control.

Haters / socialists - yah they are the loonies with a few of the above

Those who follow the herd (look to college campuses)
