Hi Josh,

We have a house in the Woodlands.

My neighbor tole me the freezing of some taxes automatically happen based on the attainment of the year 65.

My wife turned 65 in 2015. I tuned 65 in 2016 and we went in to protest a 50 % increase in valuation in 2017.

The lady in Montgomery county said that the taxes should have been frozen for two years.

We had to pay the higher taxes in 2017 as well.

She said they'd rebate back to us the overpayment but as of yet have yet to see it.

I suspect it is coming but bureacracy for rebates = slow. LOL
