Buck,
Think about this. My office relocated. We now have an electronic key. It has my name on it. I left the office to drive to my home office. Traffic jam delayed me. When I got there they knew I was on my way, and what time I left the office. How?! My electronic key. Doors are wired to computer. Computer on net with home office. Home office security has a log of all entries and exits to office.

Bathroom is located outside the office. They know when I go to the bathroom and how long I take. They are located over a hundred miles from my office. But, security has the same set up for all branches now. Have the same information on employees in San Francisco 2500 miles away.

The electronic key is a smart card. Welcome to the 21st century.
