In addition, it has plenty of competition and at most, it might be a buyout candidate since it does have an improved excimer laser (still subject to FDA approval). Maybe BEAM could buy them-their definitely searching for an acquisition candidate. If I think about it, it might be cheaper for BEAM to seek out a company that has an improved excimer laser that could help it leap frog over VISX at a lot less expense than developing a new machine itself. However, what does BEAM get in return? This new machine would probably fall under PPP (that may be what the litigation settlement charges for licensing fees of 100K per month is all about). If this new machine did fall under PPP, BEAM would still have to split all those fees with VISX, so I dont know if BEAM would buy it. (Maybe you can put a spin on why BEAM might want to purchase this company, since thats the only hope I see for ATCI (A buyout candidate)...Pappy
