ed, re IMF will and has to change its policy pretty soon. Huh? Isn't that sort of like the inmates running the asylum? Since when do debtors get to dictate terms of pmt? It seems to me that when the Asian countries accepted IMF bailout money, they agreed to abide by certain terms. Whether or not you or I or the Asian countries agree with those terms after the fact is a moot point.

When I sign mortgage papers on my house loan, I can't go back and remove the house as collateral, because the agreement I made doesn't allow that.

Then again, I guess Saddam can dictate terms of inspection even though he lost the Gulf War, so anything is possible.
