Almost completely dead thread. Interesting. Sounds like upside potential deriving from lack of buzz.
Any comment here about the GlobalCenter aquisition?
Aside from the Internet service capabilities that come with GlobalCenter, and the name brand clients (Netscape, Yahoo, etc.), one other thing comes with GlobalCenter... or rather, person: Doug Hickey
Read the Edgar SEC filing... it has the full scoop on the amazingly deft maneuvers GlobalCenter's CEO made to turn a worthless money pit (the GlobalCenter subsidiary of Global Villiage) into a company worth $160+ million dollars.
The man is a master... the mergers with first, Primenet, and then ISI, the assembly of the killer board from hell, the lining up of the absolute top names in venture capital... I've watched this industry (as an inside participant) for the last several years, and I've yet to see anyone play the game this well... too bad the market went south just as they were about to IPO. This would've been one hot stock.
I'd say the odds of Frontier being aquired just shot up quite a bit... and if they don't get aquired, I would bet that they'be making some moves in the area of aquisitions and mergers.
