TO ALL CYMER CORPSES: This news from Nikon via First Call News....story was dated 1/12/98 Capital spending reductions by Korean and Japanese are semi makers are having a severe impact on demand for Nikon steppers. According to Nikon mgmnt. FY 3/98 shipments of excimer laser steppers originally forecast 200 will be 160...shipments of i-line steppers orig. at 300 will be 250..............Capital spending cuts have hit i-line steppers hardest......and have slowed DUV steppers........according to Nikon mgmnt this is their own problem not Cymer's.....Excimer laser supply is sufficient.
