As of last count this morning, I have seven folks who e-mailed me and said they are active traders but some maintain only a read-only basis on this thread. All I can say is there are people who use this thread as a guidance for their trading to some degree.

A question about setting stops - If one is taking a chance at a crossroad, unsure if the next half hour is going to be up or down, then setting a stop immediately after a buy confirmation is a disciplined way to manage the downside risk. As of late, we have seen many spike up in the first half hour after the market opens so it makes sense to set stop after the upward movement begins to stall.

Real time quote, which is best? I don't pay to get real time quote. I have Datek account so I get RT quote there. A free website suggested by Glen is thomsonrtq.com. Datek is faster when market opens. Thomson is almost inaccessible at market open these days. Who knows of other free RT quote sites?
